Four members Manitoba Since the weekend, several employees in the school department have resigned or been fired without giving any reason.

on Monday, Mountain View School District (MVSD), Located in the Dauphin and Parkland regions, it announced its predecessor InspectorStephen Jadock has been fired. The department thanks Jadock for his years of service and says it remains committed to excellence in education.

Jadock said in a statement to Global News that the dismissal came after a special board meeting Friday evening, adding that the company did not provide a reason for the termination.

On Tuesday, the department announced the resignations of three long-serving trustees, including Liefa Misko, Floyd Martens and Scott McCallum.

But the reason has not been revealed.

MVSD was thrust into the spotlight in April when another trustee, Paul Coffey, gave a speech on racism and anti-racism that was later criticized by local leaders as ignorant and disrespectful, and sparked a provincial government review of the department's governance.

In an emailed statement to Global News, Education Minister Nello Altomare said the review is ongoing, adding that he wants all school districts to “provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn and succeed regardless of where they live.”
