Four stabbings over the weekend are under investigation Saskatoon Police Service Heavy strike commando.
Police said in a news release that an injury was reported around 8:15 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Fourth Street. An 18-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed with an axe. The victim and her friend were reportedly walking when two women dressed in black approached and assaulted them.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
An assault occurred in the 500 block of Queen Street around 9 p.m. Saturday. Police found a 16-year-old girl who reported that two females approached her and began stabbing and beating her. The police dog unit was called and tracked down the victim's bag that was discarded nearby, as well as one of the suspects, who was found and arrested at a nearby house. Police are still searching for the second suspect.
According to police, the incident was not an accident and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but his life is not in danger.

Around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a call about a stabbing in the 200 block of South 2nd Street. Officers found a 60-year-old victim who was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said video surveillance showed the suspect was in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a goatee, a mohawk and a black hoodie with large graffiti on it.
About an hour later, police responded to another report of an injured person.
A 36-year-old man was found outside a residence in the 500 block of North Main Street. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said no further information about the incident was available at this time.
