A 23-year-old man considered “armed and dangerous” is suspected of a robbery and assault at an apartment complex in downtown Hamilton, police say.
Hamilton police believe two suspects may be connected to the incident around 8:30 Thursday night, when multiple 911 calls came in reporting a break-in on Hunter Street West in the Hursnan neighborhood.
“Upon arrival, officers found a woman in her 40s with an apparent wound on her forehead from a gunshot wound,” said Officer Indy Bharaj.
“The victim was quickly transported to hospital, received treatment for non-life-threatening conditions and was subsequently released.”
A woman in her 70s also sustained minor injuries while trying to help the victim, Balaji said.
