The City of Vernon, British Columbia has temporarily closed its sports fields and baseball diamonds due to current weather conditions.
Effective immediately, city-owned grass fields will be temporarily closed. Athletic fields and baseball diamonds will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.
“Due to continued rainfall this morning, the ground is saturated with water and use of these spaces may cause damage to lawns,” reads a news release from the City of Vernon.
