The sexual assault cases of five former members of Canada's world junior hockey team are set to go back to court in August.

in the case of Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Michael MacLeod, Carl Foote and Alex Formenton Will come back on August 13 to set a trial date.

A closed judicial preliminary hearing is scheduled for July, and some hearings are also planned for September.

The five players were charged earlier this year over an alleged sexual assault at a London, Ontario hotel in 2018.

They were both charged with sexual assault, but McLeod also faces an additional charge of sexual assault for “participation in a crime.”

The players elected to have a trial by judge and jury.
