Ahead of the meeting, British Columbia Premier David Eby said one of the top topics on the agenda would be trade-related infrastructure.

Eby said Friday that the time it takes to ship goods between provinces and territories is a factor that affects costs for Canadians.

He said leaders will also discuss health care, housing issues and the infrastructure needed to build new homes.

The premiers are expected to attend a media briefing on Monday afternoon to mark the end of the conference.
