The driver remained in hospital in critical condition Friday morning A car was hit by an object that shattered its windshield on Highway 1 on Thursday.the BC Highway Patrol said the object is believed to be a large rock.
At about 11:24 a.m. on June 6, the British Columbia Highway Patrol received a call saying Wellington Exit A white sedan was found with its windshield smashed.

The driver was rushed to hospital.
It is still unclear where the rock came from.
The BC Highway Patrol is investigating and is asking witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to contact the BC Highway Patrol – Burnaby at 604-526-9744.
