Bot joined the company in 1961 after emigrating from the Netherlands and found a job.

He took over the company in 1974 and ran it together with other family members.

“There’s always something different going on,” Bote said.

Despite being 87 years old, Bot still enjoys going to work every day.

“Oh, I can't just sit at home and do nothing.”

Bot’s years of experience and strong work ethic are an inspiration to his granddaughter.

“I can't express how lucky I am to be able to go to work every day with my grandfather and my mom and make sure our lives go on,” Tara Sterling said.

“So many places come and go, but when you have a company that people want to continue in your family, that’s a very special thing.”
