A 54-year-old man is facing more than half a dozen charges stemming from an arson attack early Saturday that caused a woman and three children to flee their Ethelbert, Manitoba, home.
Manitoba RCMP say they were called to the Railway Avenue home around 3:45 a.m. and were told the woman woke up after hearing noises outside her window, saw the fire spreading and saw a man running from the scene.
Everyone in the house arrived safely on scene without injury, and local firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, with only minor damage to the home.
