Surrey standoff: Police say assault suspect violated release conditions multiple times - BC | Globalnews.ca

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said: Surrey Thursday night's shooting was the third time police tried to arrest a man in three days.

An emergency response team was called to the house near 162nd Street and 88th Avenue.

RCMP say the call was in response to a report of a man suspected of multiple violations of release conditions related to intimate partner violence assault charges.

Randall Tremblay was initially charged with assault on Tuesday and released on conditions including no contact with the victim.

“Especially because we’re talking about intimate partner violence,” she said.

“We want to make sure that anyone who is experiencing any type of violence has access to resources and can reach out and report it.”
