Services at South Okanagan General Hospital have again been temporarily disrupted.
A news release from Interior Health said emergency department hours will be disrupted due to “physician availability.”
Emergency services will be suspended from 9pm on Sunday, June 9 until 7am on Monday, June 10, but all other inpatient services at the hospital will continue as normal.

“People in the community who need emergency life-threatening care (i.e., chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should call 9-1-1 immediately for transportation to the nearest available and appropriate medical facility,” the release states.
Patients can go to Penticton Regional Hospital for urgent care.
