The Saskatoon Police Service continues to investigate the city's recent homicides and is seeking the public's help in locating a suspected discarded knife.
Saskatoon's 10th homicide of 2024 occurred early Monday morning when police responded to the 800 block of West 22nd Street on reports of an injured person.
The victim was taken to a hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. According to an earlier release, the victim was identified as 29-year-old Glenn Lunney.

“Major crime investigators are asking for public assistance from anyone living in the area of West 22nd Street, West 18th Street, South Avenue H and South Avenue J,” police said. “Residents and business owners in the area are asked to search their properties thoroughly for a knife believed to have been discarded after the homicide.”
Two men have been charged with murder, one with second-degree murder and the other with possession of a dangerous weapon, and are due to appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Tuesday, police said.
