The Saskatoon Police Service continues to investigate the city's recent homicides and is seeking the public's help in locating a suspected discarded knife.
Saskatoon's 10th homicide of 2024 occurred early Monday morning when police responded to the 800 block of 22nd Street West on reports of an injured person.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. According to an earlier release, the victim was identified as 29-year-old Glenn Lunney.

“Major Crimes investigators are requesting public assistance from anyone living in the area surrounding 22nd Street West, 18th Street West, Avenue H South and Avenue J South,” police said. “Residents and business owners in the area are asked to thoroughly search their properties for a knife believed to have been discarded following the homicide.”
Police say two men have been charged with murder, one with second-degree murder and the other with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, and are set to appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Tuesday.
Police are asking anyone with information about the homicide to call police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to provide an anonymous tip.
