Regina police seize more than $1 million worth of drugs in drug bust - Regina | Globalnews.ca

Three people aged between 19 and 23 were arrested Drug trafficking Investigating in Regina.

The black market value of all the seized drugs is estimated to be over $1 million.

May 30, Regina Police The Narcotics Squad and Special Weapons Tactics Team uncovered the case and said they seized large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Three people were arrested. Two of them were arrested in the 100 block of Froom Crescent, where the following items were found during a search:

  • 4 kg of fentanyl
  • 2.25 kg of cocaine
  • 6.5 kg of methamphetamine
  • More than 29,000 CAD in cash

Police conducted another search in the 500 block of University Parkway and found:

  • 0.5 kg of fentanyl
  • 99.72 grams of cocaine
  • 0.5 kg of methamphetamine
  • More than 5,000 CAD in cash

The estimated black market value of all the seized drugs is well over $1 million.

“4.5 kilograms of fentanyl is a significant amount, as even small amounts of this drug can be lethal,” Regina police said in a news release.

The three were charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Both men made their first appearance in provincial court on May 31.
