On Saturday morning, RCMP received a report that a 34-year-old woman was found outside in the community with serious injuries. Police said she was taken to hospital, where officers met with her and learned about the incident.

She was taken to a Winnipeg hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. Royal Canadian Mounted Police She said. She is still in the hospital.

Later that morning, police said responders responded to the scene. The suspect was not present, but a gun and drug paraphernalia were found, RCMP said.

RCMP said they found a 31-year-old and 32-year-old suspect at another home in the area and arrested them there. The two men remain in jail on charges of assault, forcible confinement and firearm-related charges.

Police say five suspects remain to be found.

Police said the victim and suspect were known to each other and believed this was a targeted attack.
