Manitoba RCMP say they have charged a 19-year-old suspect in connection with a double murder on the Minegoziibe Anishinabe First Nation.
Oryan Flamand, from the community, faces two charges of second-degree murder in the deaths of a 34-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman earlier this week.
Flamand was arrested in a residential building in the community in the early morning of June 3. Police said someone shot at police from the house, but no one was injured. The suspect tried to escape in an SUV but was thwarted by police.
