RCMP investigating attempted sexual assault on popular Kelowna walking trail - Okanagan | Globalnews.ca

RCMP received a report from an adult female that an unknown male attempted to sexually assault her while she was walking along a trail in Mission Creek Regional Park.

The accident happened just before 9pm on Sunday, June 9, between Leckie Road and Durnin Road.

The victim managed to escape from the perpetrator and called the police.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years old, with short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a white or grey long-sleeved jacket with red trim.

“Officers conducted an extensive search of the area and are continuing to investigate,” said media relations officer Michael Gauthier.

“The public can expect to see a police presence in the area throughout the day and evening.”
