British Columbia's south coast is set to see heavy downpours on Sunday, with heavy rain warnings in effect for much of the region.
Environment Canada says Metro Vancouver could see up to 60 millimetres of rain on Sunday.
Global News weather reporter Stephanie Florian said this was due to a strong frontal system.
“Howe Sound, the Fraser Valley and northeastern Metro Vancouver, including Maple Ridge and Coquitlam, are currently under a rainfall warning,” Florian said.
“(There is) the potential for localised flooding.”

The heavy rain on Monday is expected to taper off to showers, but Florian said another system is on its way that will bring more heavy rain on Tuesday.
Drivers are warned to drive with caution and be aware of the possibility of standing water in low-lying areas.
A high flow warning has also been issued for Metro Vancouver.
“A spring storm will begin Sunday morning and continue into Monday morning and is expected to result in unusually high flows for this time of year in the Capilano and Seymour Rivers on the North Shore,” staff said.
Metro Vancouver is urging people who enjoy spending time near the river, whether using nearby trails, fishing or kayaking, to remain alert and use extreme caution to ensure their safety.
