Police launch investigation into vandalism of Kitchener synagogue | Globalnews.ca

Waterloo Regional Police say they are investigating a vandalism incident at a place of worship in Kitchener over the weekend.

On Monday, officers were dispatched to a place of worship near Sterling Avenue South and Cortlandt Avenue East, an area that is home to Beit Yakov Synagogue and the Jewish Community Center, after reports of damage to the property, police said.

They said someone damaged the front door window sometime overnight between Sunday and Monday.

According to a police release, police are continuing to investigate the incident, including whether it was motivated by hate.
