Regina police have charged a 37-year-old Moose Jaw man after the car he was driving collided with a pedestrian.

Thursday, police were notified that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Park Street.

Police and emergency personnel assisted the victim, a woman, at the scene. She was subsequently taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. “Preliminary investigations at the scene indicated that the victim was struck by a truck, which then left the scene.”

Later that day, Regina police found the suspect vehicle parked in Cooksley Bay and arrested Joseph Neustadter, who was charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily injury.

The man is scheduled to make his first appearance in provincial court on July 15.
