An incident is happening in Vancouver Coal Port.
Global News obtained a video from an eyewitness that showed a plane colliding with a boat while trying to take off.
Vancouver Fire Chief Karen Fry said on social media that firefighters and police were heading to the scene of a “marine incident.”
Another video from the scene showed the small plane partially sunk near the coastline.
A Global News photographer saw at least two people being carried away on stretchers and the plane being towed away by a boat.
Vancouver Harbour Aviation said details are extremely limited at this time, but did confirm an incident occurred.
Global News has reached out to emergency services and the Port of Vancouver for more information.
