Xu said while it's not yet known how much revenue the finals will bring to Alberta and the country, he expects it will be a good sum, especially for northern Alberta and rural areas.

Spending increased by 245 per cent in Montreal, 137 per cent in Quebec and 21 per cent across Canada.
