Fisher RCMP finds body in Hanoi, Manitoba RCMP investigating – Winnipeg | Globalnews.ca

Manitoba RCMP are investigating a homicide after the body of a man from the Fisher River Cree Nation was found Saturday.

Police said they were initially called to Fishers Creek for a missing man and with the help of search and rescue personnel and police dogs, they found the 51-year-old victim.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said there was no threat to public safety and the victim appeared to have been specifically targeted.

The investigation is continuing with assistance from the RCMP Major Crimes Unit and forensic investigators.
