Smoke rises into the sky Okanagan Falls Saturday afternoon.
The brush fire is believed to have started in an orchard along McLean Creek Road around 3 p.m., but crews from the Okanagan Falls Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene a short time later.
The British Columbia Wildfire Management Authority estimated the fire had spread to 1.45 hectares, and multiple fire departments in the area were on the scene.
