The company has now formed an executive search committee to find a successor and expects to make an announcement in the coming months.

“We have been extremely privileged to have had Dr. Lancer’s outstanding leadership over the past 20 years and wish him the best in his retirement,” said Jennifer Koury, chair of the Wildlife Research Institute/Calgary Zoo Board of Directors.

Chief Operating Officer Jamie Dorgan will take over as interim CEO.
