To start preparing Kashmiri style Tchat Goji, first wash the radish and cut it into thin slices.
Add oil to a nonstick pan and heat over medium heat.
When the oil is hot, add the radish, hing, sugar and salt.
Add dry red chilies and mix well.
Cover the pot and cook the radish over high heat for about 6-7 minutes, until the radish becomes soft. Make sure to stir occasionally so the radishes don't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Once the radish is soft, add tikka masala and mix well.
Now, add water to the pot and cook until the water is completely absorbed.
Gently mash the radish with the back of a spoon. I didn't mash them because I enjoy enjoying radishes more than mashed radishes.
Authentic dishes require mashed radish.
Stuff Kashmiri style radish Tchat Goji into roti or serve with steamed rice Kachunbo Salad.
