• To start preparing Kashmiri style Tchat Goji, first wash the radish and cut it into thin slices.

  • Add oil to a nonstick pan and heat over medium heat.

  • When the oil is hot, add the radish, hing, sugar and salt.

  • Add dry red chilies and mix well.

  • Cover the pot and cook the radish over high heat for about 6-7 minutes, until the radish becomes soft. Make sure to stir occasionally so the radishes don't stick to the bottom of the pan.

  • Once the radish is soft, add tikka masala and mix well.

  • Now, add water to the pot and cook until the water is completely absorbed.

  • Gently mash the radish with the back of a spoon. I didn't mash them because I enjoy enjoying radishes more than mashed radishes.

  • Authentic dishes require mashed radish.

  • Stuff Kashmiri style radish Tchat Goji into roti or serve with steamed rice Kachunbo Salad.
