if Tandai New to you, this is a mixed drink dried fruit (Such as almonds, pistachios, melon seeds, poppy seeds) Fragrant Rose petal, sweet spice (fennel, black pepper, green cardamom, saffron, etc.).

Now you can easily make it at home in powder or liquid form or you can find it at any Indian store near you.

Here is a simple recipe to make this delightful mixture, please also note that the main recipe only has 5 ingredients, but continuing with our festive look, I used a few other ingredients as decorations, which are optional:

  • frozen milk
  • Thandai Syrup – I used store bought syrup, you can also use powder.
  • Cream – This adds amazing flavor and texture to this drink
  • vodka
  • Bourbon – This is optional but adds a sweeter flavor

Decoration – optional

  • pistachio
  • almond
  • Rose petal
  • cardamom powder

You can use any type of decoration depending on the choice and availability of ingredients.

How to make Taidai Vodka:

This is a simple and easy drink that I love serving at my Holi parties and other occasions as it takes no time to make nor does it require any cooking. All you have to do is:

Beat cream in a large bowl for 2-3 minutes (until stiff and peaks form).

Get a large tall jar/container.

Add the milk, thandai syrup, vodka, and bourbon and combine everything with a large whisk or whisk.

Now, add this thandai mixture to the cream and stir again until everything is well mixed.

Transfer to a serving glass or shot glass.

Top with chopped almonds, pistachios, rose petals and cardamom powder.

Serve refrigerated.

Changes and Service Suggestions:

While this drink is simple, it can also be combined with other alcoholic beverages such as rum, tequila, whiskey, green wine, and more.

  • 4 tbsp Thandai syrup – check notes

  • 1/2 cup cream

  • 1/2 cup vodka

  • 1/4 cup bourbon – this is optional but adds a sweeter flavor

Decoration – optional

  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios

  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds

  • 6 rose petals – chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
