• To start making the Chicken Manchurian recipe, crack an egg in a mixing bowl, add cornmeal, soy sauce, a pinch of salt and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Add the chicken pieces and stir until all pieces are coated with the marinade mixture.

  • Marinate the Manchurian chicken pieces in the egg mixture for 1 hour.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and heat 1 tablespoon oil.

  • Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium, add the marinated chicken pieces and fry until golden brown.

  • When the chicken is cooked, skim off any excess water and place it on a napkin.

  • Add cornmeal, soy sauce, red pepper garlic sauce, tomato puree, chili vinegar and water to a mixing bowl and mix well. The sauce for Manchurian chicken gravy is ready.

  • Add the chopped green onions and sauté for a few seconds.

  • Add onions and green peppers and sauté until onions turn translucent.

  • Add green chillies and fry until a bit soft and adds a spicy flavor to the dish.

  • Add the chicken manchurian mixture to the pan and cook until the manchurian gravy thickens.

  • Now add the chicken pieces and mix well until the chicken pieces are well coated with the manchurian gravy.

  • Cook over low heat for a further 5-7 minutes, stirring to help keep the top layer moist. Check for salt and seasoning. Make adjustments if necessary.
